setting up your tool

you don’t need to know anything about websites.

your tool lives on your own accounts, so it’s yours. but you won’t have to figure any of it out. your part is about 15 minutes: two sign-ups and one invite, and we can do it together on the kickoff call.

who does what

you

about 15 minutes, once

  • 1sign up for the hosting with your work email
  • 2sign up for the database the same way
  • 3add a card (nothing is charged while you’re on the free plans)
  • 4invite brady@bradyux.com to both

us

everything else

  • send you the two links, and walk you through it on the call if you like
  • set up the hosting, database, logins and email
  • design, build and test the tool
  • connect your web address, or set up a free one
  • turn on backups and run the security checklist
  • record a walkthrough video, then remove our access at handover

what it costs to run

these go straight to the providers, not to us, so nobody can ever hold your tool hostage. we pick providers with generous free plans.

hosting
$0
free plan is plenty

where your tool lives on the internet. a team-sized tool fits in the free plan.

database
$0 → $25
a month, once you’re live

where the information lives. free while we build; the paid plan adds daily backups and never falls asleep.

email
$0
for most teams

for logins, alerts and reminders. thousands of emails a month fit in the free plan.

web address
$0–15
a year, only if you need one

free if you already have a domain, or we use a free address. a new one is about $15 a year.

about $25 a monthis what most event tools cost to run once they’re live. paid to the providers, cancel any time.

the setup, step by step

every screen below is an example. the real ones look a little different, and we’re on the call with you if anything doesn’t match.

01

we send you two sign-up links

right after the kickoff call you get one email from us with two links: one for the hosting (where your tool lives) and one for the database (where its information lives).
