The partnership

Bild wins the client. I design. They build.

Bild Media works with manufactured-home dealers, home centres and communities. When they land a client, the brief lands on a shared project board with my name on it. I design the site or the brand in Figma and hand it over in a dated delivery round. Bild's team builds it and launches it.

There's rarely a clean “done”. A design goes out, and days or weeks later it comes back with changes from the dealer. So every project is designed to be easy to change: clear sections, reusable pieces, nothing precious.

The pattern

Every buyer asks the same four questions

A family shopping for a manufactured home wants to know four things, in roughly this order: what homes do you have, can I afford one, where is it, and how do I see it. Every site is built around those four answers, in that order.

That shared spine is what made it possible to give each dealer a different look without starting from zero every time. The structure stays honest; the personality changes.

1
What homes do you have?Homes for sale · Our homes · Inventory
2
Can I afford one?Financing · Apply now · Specials
3
Where is it?Location & schools · Amenities · Communities
4
How do I see it?Schedule a tour · Contact · Call today
The four answers every site leads with. The labels on the right are real menu items from the sites.
The work

Same spine, different places

A selection of the home pages, as designed. Some have since been rebranded or rebuilt by other teams, so these show the designs as they launched rather than linking to the sites today.

Marks for small businesses

Many of these dealers had no real logo, or one that had been stretched across a decade of flyers. A good mark had to work on a yard sign, a billboard and a phone screen.

What it grew into

From one template to a product

After dozens of community sites, the repeated work was obvious: listings, intake forms, approvals and a brand on top. I turned the community pattern into a reusable template, and then into Yard, a platform that gives each manufactured-home community its own website on one shared foundation.

The partnership also stretched beyond websites, including a trade-show booth and a live trivia game built to pull people into it.

Looking back

What I'd tell another designer

Design for the change request you know is coming. Every site was set up so a dealer's late edit is a quick fix, not a redesign.

And find the spine. Once the four buyer questions were clear, every new dealer got a site that felt like theirs and still worked like the best of the others.
